This Darwin Hybrid Tulip blooms with bright cherry-red petals edged in white. With strong and sturdy stalks, its large blooms reach up to 5 inches high.
The vibrant white edges of this unique flower point to the sky, celebrating the first century of Legion service, and welcoming the next. Infused with the red of Remembrance, its petals open to form an angled design reminiscent of the royal crown depicted on the Legion's badge. This distinctive tulip reflects the Legion's colours and reminds us of the symbolic colours of Canada, and its freedoms... granted by the sacrifices of our Veterans.
Proceeds will be shared between The Royal Canadian Legion’s Dominion Command, which holds Canada’s National Remembrance Day service in honour of all our Fallen Veterans, and The Canadian Tulip Legacy, which hosts Canada’s main commemoration of its specific role in the Liberation of the Netherlands, with the Royal Gift of Tulips and the Canadian Tulip Festival.
