ESCAPE MAP, REPRODUCTION

The original of this Second World War Escape Map was provided to us with thanks to the Canadian War Museum, George Metcalf Archival Collection. A satin matte finish has been used on a manmade fiber selected to imitate the original. The map is in a 1:1,000,000 scale with a single 1:250,000 insert. The areas covered are Holland, Belgium, France, Germany and Switzerland. Printed in full colour on both sides, these maps provided critical information to escapees. Each reproduction is identified as such on the lower right-hand border of side 43/D to ensure these reproduction cannot be confused with the originals.
