AFGHANISTAN COMMEMORATIVE PIN
History will remember Afghanistan as Canada’s longest war. Once again Canada was called upon to send our Canadian Armed Forces into battle far from home. More than 40,000 soldiers answered that call and served in Afghanistan. 2,179 Soldiers were wounded. 158 Soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice. Thousands more will need our assistance for years to come.
The Royal Canadian Legion has commissioned this satin nickel plated die struck brass lapel pin with enamelled colour. The pin comes mounted on a gloss laminated display card and may be worn by anyone who wished to visibly commemorate the contribution and sacrifices made by our soldiers.
The Royal Canadian Legion will be here to ensure that these sacrifices are remembered. We are also here to provide support to those who served, and their families, who are in need.
