POPPY DROP EARRINGS METAL

The Supply Department is dedicated to providing you with a diverse selection of Poppy themed products. This endeavor continues with the addition of metal Poppy Jewelry, by Laurie Stevenson Bullock. Working from her own home studio, Laurie pours her joy for creativity into these Canadian hand-crafted works of art. Each Poppy you see is fabricated from a copper sheet, cut, domed, and then formed into a beautiful flower. To produce the deep red petals and black centre, layers of powdered glass are made from multiple hand-torched firings. This process means that no two Poppies are identical. However similar they may seem, each Poppy is actually a one of a kind creation, something hard to come-by with today’s focus on high volume manufacturing.

Laurie has worked enthusiastically to produce this one of a kind metal jewelry, a pair of earrings approximately ¾” in diameter, which hang from drop-earring loops. The loops are made from non-allergenic stainless steel, so they are perfect for those with metal allergies. Simple and beautiful, these earrings are a fantastic accent to any outfit, and serve as a means to demonstrate Remembrance year round.
